Introduction to Paintballing or Paintball
The idea of adults (and many teens and children) running
around the woods dressed up in a wide assortment of "combat" gear attempting to "shoot" each other still sets off
alarm bells in the minds of many people. The reason is simple misinformation and myths about Paintballing that
still linker despite the recent phenomenal growth of this sport.
Paintballing or simply "paintball", is an exhilarating,
but often misunderstood activity by the general public. Numerous misinformed people connect the playing of
paintball as a reason for violent people to "play soldier and kill people". Possibly part of the problem is
the wrong use of the term "gun" rather than "marker" when talking about paintball armaments. Or it may well be
simply fear and skepticism based on rumors and myths about a sport they really know little about.
Paintball is a harmless, unsophisticated yet intriguing and
strategic sport that's played usually by two squads, each with at least two participants. Grownups and children
alike fancy this sport as they commonly refer to it as an elevated or makeshift game of tag. Competitions pull in a
lot of spectators of all ages, since it's a very thrilling game to view.
Paintballing games are of various types, however the most
well-liked game commonly played is acknowledged as "capture the flag". The aim or the goal of this sport is for
squads to go forward to the opponents base, pinch the other team’s flag from its designated location, while at the
same time protecting your own banner.
The paintball field of war has many obstructions such as tires,
fortresses, old cars, hay and the latest are “inflatables” that are built as shelter for team players; making the
sport all the more stimulating, as if taking part in an actual game of warfare.

When one is
hit by a paintball, it can ache for a split second, and on occasion give players bruises. Players are
customarily requested to be in a long sleeves shirt and long pants, (making sure that the colour isn't
matching to that of the judge), and dress in entire paintball equipment such as mask, helmet and goggles for
safety.
The sport of paintball has a clear-cut and strict collection of
rules that are rigorously abided by. The producer of the event is the absolute authority in relation to either an
alteration or addition to the rules; marshals manage the event, and their decision is always final. No quarrelling
or arguing with the officials on the paintball area is permitted.
A non-military method to paintballing is worthless, as that
lack of knowledge is acknowledged and quickly understood by skilled squads. A team’s battle plan should be
carefully calculated; so your team’s line of assault will not be recognized by the rival team, and there should to
be an instant substitution of plans just in case something goes wrong.
In that regard there must be a great deal of team work
involved, as every person proceeds through the playing area. As some team member go on the offensive, there had
better be other people to secure, keep watch, and offer covering fire when needed. A squad that acts as a
group with a clearly defined intent will have a great likelihood of winning in this sport.
Talking in the playing field is also very necessary. A
team-mate must holler out the position of the rival to his/her team-mates. The instant that a player is
encountered, the hiding part of the game for that player is up; so there's no cause for you to keep silent. Rather
enlighten your teammates as to the spot of the rival.
The adrenaline rush of this game is over when you've been
located, shot, and eliminated from play - a state of affairs that all squad players struggle to
prevent.
It is important to realize that paintballing does not only
appeal to people who love to live on the edge or are self proclaimed "adrenaline junkies". These kinds of people
actually make up only a small percentage of men, women, teens and children who regularly play paintball. There
are many other factors at work which help to explain the increasing popularity of paintballing.
